Abstract

From a geo-historical standpoint this article makes a conceptual proposal on how different scenarios of territory productions of the Tarapacá region are linked to socionatural dynamics and the emergence of conflicts that involve different aspects. It proposes that the regional dynamic can be analysed through the perspective of the territorial genealogy. Likewise, it exposes that the process of territorial construction has been in constant dynamics, strongly influenced by the process of discursive and material modernization introduced in the colonial and the development of modern State periods.
