This article aims to analyze the legislative and cultural changes related to the advance of the precariousness of teaching work in Brazil. An exploratory methodological approach was chosen, exposing the teaching work in the country in a historical panorama, since 1964, thus realizing an influence of neoliberal agents on the creation and maintenance of laws for the Brazilian educational system that intensified the precariousness of work teacher, at times exposed indiscriminately and at others in a veiled way. It was identified that, even though some heads of state have adopted a progressive discourse, no government has presented a contraceptive project for the continuous implementation of the neoliberal agenda. The work concludes with a synthesis of the above: everyday aspects of the progression of the neoliberal agenda in Brazil and what can be expected.
