Abstract

This article presents the main findings of a research on the ethos that women politicians from Rio Negro (Argentina) develop in their discourses from the analysis of in-depth interviews about their experiences of political participation and conciliation with their responsibilities related to domestic work and care. To carry out this study, we use the tools provided by Discourse Analysis, as an interdisciplinary practice, focusing on the study of the discursive ethos proposed by Amossy and Maingueneau. The main findings of the study allow us to identify the presence of a non-convergent hybrid ethos that is based on two pillars: modern women and traditional women.
