Abstract

Throughout the present article it is intended to go over those methodological tools used by Foucault to study the educational disciplinary institution and its possible application to the new educational scene in the Societies of Control. Foucault analyses the discourses and practises as forms of power in the Disciplinary Society, which sculpt a particular individuality: the docile body. After the Second World War, new modalities of power gives way to the Society of Control, emerging with it a self-governed individuality. In the High Schools appear forms of both disciplinary and control regimes.
